Over the last 10 days we have provided the following items:- new single bed and full set of bedding for a child who had been taken in by a family member to prevent going into care; a pair of trainers for a child in poverty who was unable to participate in PE at school; a cot mattress for a mum and baby who had recently been homeless and just had an empty cot; a cot mattress for a baby in child protection; a week’s food shopping for a family who had taken in a child of a family member to prevent them going into care; carpet for a family who had been re-housed and had bare floors; a new fridge freezer for a mum who had no-where to keep her food fresh; baby equipment for a mum-to-be who had nothing for her impending birth; a double pushchair for a mum in the domestic violence refuge; birthday presents for a child in the refuge; a stairgate for a family in poverty, and a washing machine for a family who are struggling financially due to past addictions. We are so grateful to everyone who donates items and fundraises to help these families.
Thank you so much to the Louis Ross Foundation for donating £2000 of Primark vouchers to us!! These will be given to older children in poverty, victims of neglect, human trafficking and domestic violence. They can then choose their own clothes and furnishing for their rooms. They will also be used for parents to buy items of school uniform etc. This will make a huge difference to their self esteem and enable them to move forward with their lives.
The grand total is in from LUSH UK Bournemouth – they sold an amazing £567.35 of the Charity Pot product for us at their store over the weekend. Thank you to all the lovely staff and your generous customers. We really appreciate your ongoing support.
Thank you to Lisa Ellis & Sam Burgess from Bournemouth and Poole College City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Travel & Tourism for choosing us to fundraise for. They held a set lunch on 27th April and 4th May in the Brasserie Restaurant at Lansdowne, and will be holding one more on Friday 18th May. They are also running a raffle and the raffle will be drawn on 18th May at the lunch. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much to Highcliffe School for donating £296.84 from their recent mufti day. This will pay for food shops, bedding for a child in care and a mattress for a parent who is currently sleeping on the floor.
